Lisa C. Fishman, MD received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she was a member of the inaugural class of Humanities and Medicine Students. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. After completing her training, she worked as an Assistant Attending at Cornell Internal Medicine Associates.
Over the years, Dr. Fishman has been actively involved in resident education, serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was also the Medical Director of the Cornell University-Weill Medical College Physician Assistants Program. In 2002, she completed a Certificate Program in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at NYU.
Dr. Fishman currently serves as a voluntary faculty member at Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she teaches medical students during their third year medicine clerkship.
